Conrad Goodhew is a registered dietitian specialising in sport and recovery. The difference that Conrad provides, is that he brings a performance mindset to an industry full of weight loss fads. Not only is he an expert in exercise nutrition, but his Dietetic study also brings a clinical element to the delivery of advice. His ethos is “let’s not overcomplicate this eating thing” as nutrition is fast becoming a complex space, when it really doesn’t need to.

I have 16 years Dietetic experience working in the hospital, outpatient and community setting. I enjoy getting to know my clients, learning what is important to you and working together to achieve your health goals. With the name, Eat Cake Nutrition, I wanted to break the stigma that certain foods need to be avoided, as all foods have a place in achieving healthy eating patterns.

Repair: Restore normal function and relieve pain due to injury and surgery, excessive use, prolonged inactivity and lifestyle issues Perform: Perform at your best by safely integrating fitness and wellness into an ongoing programme for increased physical capacity and greater vitality Thrive: Enjoy increased capacity and resilience against future problems, return to form stronger and better than before. BENEFITS OF PHYSIOTHERAPY WITH US. Our collective years of experience and advanced training combined with our highly personalised, straight-talking and compassionate approach has established Physiosouth as one of Christchurch’s leading and most trusted providers of musculoskeletal (joint, bone and soft tissue) physiotherapy services. THE WAY WE WORK We are not your average physiotherapists. We treat sport injuries, back pain, pre and post-surgical clients and show you how to prevent injuries and health conditions. We apply our unique skills in mobility, biomechanical assessment, functional movement retraining, strength and conditioning and exercise prescription to address the needs of both injured individuals and those seeking a return to activities they love with confidence and a reduced risk of injury. On your first visit, your physiotherapist will take a detailed history and listen to your goals. You will then be assessed so the physiotherapist can develop a working diagnosis. Together we will formulate a treatment plan to help resolve your immediate issues and achieve your short and long-term goals. Your customised treatment plan, key milestones and expected timeframes for recovery will be discussed in detail. Your treatment plan will vary depending on your individual goals, and will not be limited to the treatment room. We have access to Christchurch’s best gym and pool facilities. This gives us huge scope to work with you to achieve your goals. Depending on your injury or problem your physiotherapist may recommend various specialists. This includes our wider in-house team and when required, our clients can be reassured by access to our external network of respected consultant partners.

At Physio NZ we always start by asking our client's what their goals are, so we can formulate a plan to move forwards towards them. By breaking them down in to smaller goals we provide the education, hands on treatment and exercise plan to do our best to support the client to reach their end goals. At our Woolston Clinic, we have a good sized gym area to support rehabilitation, private treatment rooms and skilled staff to support our clients.
