Bathing
One of your trickiest times in the day will be when showering or bathing.
You can sit on a plastic chair or stool in the shower and remove the brace (while keeping the knee at a right angle), then fully dry the skin and put the brace back on before getting out of the shower. You will need a helper who can take the brace and give it back to you.
If you choose to keep the brace on while showering, cover the brace with a large garbage bag and tape the ends. This will protect the brace and its padding, and is better for your skin underneath. You can use a hairdryer to dry any moisture off the brace.
Be careful not to slip in the shower or on the wet floor in the bathroom.
